During times of crisis, the need for reliable, nutritious food skyrockets. Dairy Farmers of America farm-owners and employees have stepped up to launch the Farmers Feeding Families Fund to provide essential support and nutritious dairy products to food banks across the country. When it comes to giving back, we know that little acts of kindness can add up to make a big difference. So this World Milk Day, we're exchanging gratitude for gallons with our month-long #GallonsOfGood initiative All month long, we’re encouraging people to share what they’re grateful for on social media using the hashtag #GallonsOfGood. For every post, we’ll donate $1 to the Farmers Feeding Families Fund, up to $50,000.

Milk is an important part of a healthy balanced diet for billions of people globally and World Milk Day provides the perfect opportunity to spread the word. In addition, livelihoods and communities depend on the support of the dairy sector, so the World Milk Day is about bringing attention to the product and to raise awareness on the importance of diary for food production and healthy diets. Being pioneers of Dairy Development Programmes (DDP) in Nigeria, we find it important to spread our message of ‘Grass2Glass’ and how we are increasing the quality and quantity of raw milk production in Nigeria, through these programmes. We are therefore using the World Milk Day platform to convey the importance of dairy to the public by promoting exciting activities to celebrate the day with Nigerians.

Our family is developing a solar-powered portable ice cream trailer called "Happy Cones" to provide summer employment. If everything works out and Happy Cones is powered by solar power. The benefits go far beyond an ice cream trailer. It would be a great educational, promotional and marketing tool for the incredible benefits of solar energy to our community, province and all of Canada.
